Human rights apply to all people, at all times. This is a fundamental principle of the Netherlands government, and the reason why the promotion and defense of human rights of all peoples, wherever they may be, is a key element of foreign policy for the Netherlands.

In fact, our Ministry of Foreign Affairs has set for itself the goal of pursuing a human rights policy that makes a difference, in the interest of human dignity for all.

That is why we came up with the suggestion to launch KaSaMa (Karapatan sa Malikhaing Paraan) and why we will be supporting one or more winning project proposals. We hope that KaSaMa winners will highlight the kind of bold, unwavering and creative commitment to human rights that we would like to see more of, everywhere in the world. Thus we eagerly await out-of-the-box ideas from Philippine grassroots organizations, from young and old, men and women.

Mabuhay ang KaSaMa! Mabuhay ang karapatan ng tao kailanman at saan man sa mundo!
